Using backupman....great program...1 question. Will this program restore EVERYTHING? after a hard reset...meaning I have many programs that I registered...previously after hard resets I had to reinstall them and then re-register them...will I have to do this with BACKUPMAN or will it restore it all? Sorry but I have a ton of info on the UX not and dont want to TRY it out....thanks in advance. (I'm also assuming that after a hard reset..things on the internal media stay intact because it's similar to a CF card...correct?)

I use Backupman and it restores my device to EXACTLY the way it was prior to using the Restore function. So you can do a hard reset, invoke Backupman and the Restore utility and it will be just as you had it before the reset.

I generally keep two Automatic backups and one manual because I back up several times daily after inputting calendar events, dates or phone numbers. I also identify my latest backup by calling it something clever like "LATEST" along with the date and sometimes the time.

I love this program. Best in class.

I've made the switch to BackupMan as well. My one complaint that BackupBuddy does is give you a popup window 30 seconds before its going to back up. It gives you an option to cancel backup or do it right @ that second. BackupMan just backs up even if you are in the middle of something else.

Backupman is great. I also use the automated backup feature and it has saved me a few times. Internal Media won't be affected after a hard reset.

The only thing (that I know of) that backupman can't backup is Netfront 3.1 in RAM. If you have installed it following the steps in countless forums on this site you should keep a copy in some folder on your card/internal media. I have never used any other apps from different clie's that are also in the UX-50's ROM (like PicselViewer from TH-55) but I guess they might have the same problem. If you have you can use Backupman's "restore individual files" option to see if they are saved.
