i have heard you can hotsync from the nx with wl100 to a pc running a wireless network, is this correct? if so how?

Not that I know of...
You can try FTP over wireless !

In some cases you can use email and attached a file, although I have not tried that myself. Others have made that suggestion, now FTP might be a thought as UIO18397 has stated.

so here's my setup... trying to wireless sync to a notebook (Vaio) that's also on the lan via wifi... any other tricks, other than resorting to adhoc mode...

Use LAN SYNC! I noticed error in in link above

Disable Windows XP firewall

Use Infrastructure mode

My VAIO works great with wireless and wireless sync.
