iQue 3600a: Aviation's First Ready-to-Fly PDA

Garmin International Inc. recently introduced the iQue 3600a, the first Palm Powered aviation device that is ready to navigate right out of the box [details (http://www.1src.com/?m=show&id=776)]

That should basically be treated as the first time that the PalmOS wins on equal hardware. Garmin could have also based this on PPC, but chose the PalmOs instead. Now that is good news!
BTW, I wouldn't want to fly in a WINCE-navigated areoplane. See here for a little dialogue on board:

Dang, and I thought my NZ90 was pricey. I can see it now if this was PPC based

I looked at Garmins at the CES show. They seem to be duplicating the IQ series in PPC as well as the Palm 5 units. So there may be a PPC avation unit out soon. They even had a station at the Microsoft exhibit with PPC nav units. They looked very much like the Palm Based ones but ran MS PPC OS.
