Maybe I'm an idiot, but can anyone help walk me through getting my TG50 to sync with Outlook via BT? I can connect via BT to share an internet connection and it works great. However, I have tried and tried, but cannot Hotsync with BT. Both devices recognize each other, etc...but I keep getting a "no services available for the clie" on my desktop, and the clie tells me it cannot establish a connection with the service. Hmmmm.
Thanks for your help!

You will want to make sure your Bluetooth drivers have a Serial Port connection available, and check to see what COM port it is mapped to. (ie: COM7)
Then, turn on Serial Hotsync on the Hotsync manager, and set it for that COM port.

Hey rdmcdon,
how did you connect via BT to share an internet connection? Did you connect to a computer and what program did you use to connect to the internet?

xela,
i was able to connect to the internet through bluetooth by pairing my laptop and clie, then using the share internet conncection option on the bluetooth connection on the laptop (my laptop is connected to a LAN connection).
Hope this helps.

Hi, I just got my TG50, and have been trying to HotSync with BlueTooth as well. I could find COM port references under the Bluetooth Manager and the Hotsync manager, and I tried to set both to the same COM port number. Unfortunately, it's not working. The TG50 tried to connect "with the Desktop using BlueTooth," but never gets past step 1, and eventually just says "The connection between your handheld and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again."
Now, I have it set to "Local" and "BlueTooth," and everything else according to instructions, so the settings seem OK. I am using a D-Link DBT-120 USB BlueTooth dongle, and have installed that software as well, of course.
Exactly where should I be setting the COM port? Is there some place on the TG50 where I set that? Any other suggestions to try out would be greatly appreciated--thanks!
