Just curious who out there is using satellite radio. I know that both Reggie and I are Sirius subscribers. I got a great deal and took the plunge back in November. I was taking a vacation where I was driving from Michigan to Florida and back, and the thought of changing radio stations every hour (especially in areas without decent choices) or burning a bunch of CD's didn't seem all that appealing. I had Sirius installed about a week or two before I left, and it was great. It went out maybe 3 different times (not counting mountain tunnels) on the trip for 1-2 seconds each time, but was otherwise perfect. Plus, I was able to listen to the Lions game while I was in Florida, with the local Lions announcers, which was awesome!!

Even when I'm home, I listen to the Pistons off of Sirius, since ironically, I can't pick up the Pistons flagship station or any affiliates after dark, despite living only 45 min from Detroit.

So, anyone else taken the plunge?

My Suburban came with a 30 day free trial of XM Radio. After listening to it for a week I called the 800 number subscribed for 2 years. I love it. I have not listened to regular broadcast radio since (except to get some local news.)

I have not listened to regular broadcast radio since (except to get some local news.)That will be the key for the industry, having satellite radios coming installed in vehicles, and it seems like the contracts are now in place for this. I literally have not listed to broadcast radio in my truck once in the two months I've had Sirius!! Even the weather/traffic reports cover my drive better than regular radio.
