Ok - since OT is now broken upto into these strange unrecognizable objects :p :D *j/K*... I might as well make use of it ...
I'm having issues playing Splinter Cell - For those who have played it, I'm on the "Presidential Palace" mission .. problem is that it gives an error of not being able to read the sound file and sometimes just freezes altogether ...
If I do a quicksave, it leaves me with no option but a hard reset  :(
That is not a good thing and extremely annoying .. i tried with the sound settings on low but no help - the other mission were fine ...
Any ideas - anyone ???

This is on a PC righ? :)
If yes, try changing all of your settings to low. So turn off all extra video fluff and run it at a base resolution.
Then if if gets you past the place of freezing, save and try bringing your settings back up.
I played a game from Shiny, don't recall the name, but it kept on crashing at one peticular point. The game had a Safe Mode option, so I switched to it and it allowed me to play beyond that point and afterwards I could turn all the settings back on.

Yes, actually I did have everything set to low but it didnt seem to help - it kept getting stuck randomly for about a min or two (which is very frustrating  ) ... If I tried to save, it would freeze and nothing would release it ... so I played the entire level without saving or getting killed  - it was annoying but once I made it through, it seems to be fine - :) the first thing I did was to save at the new level ... I havent yet bumped up the settings but I will try that today - I had the same problem with Prince 3D - but nothing that I did could solve it - there was a patch but that didnt work either ...

Xbox... *vomit on self* Why??? :p
MS really did a service to the piracy peeps of this world by including a HD and their typical less then full proof software with it. ;)
Not for me though. I would buy a PS2 over a XBox any day, but it's getting a bit old. But I also don't play those types of games. I see the XBox as a dumbed down filter for the games I generally play on my PC. And then there's the control pad which makes all FPS games suck. Blah. Aiming with a thumb is awful and cumbersome.

i kinda find that difficult to digest myself - much rather use a mouse to aim :)
Hopefully - I should have the MX100 in a few weeks - boy, cant wait for that !!!! :D
- any other games that you could suggest that are similar to Hitman/Splinter Cell ???

MX1000, Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Sweeet. ~i~ That will be great. I absolutely love it. :D
Can't think of any games, but I will state one game that should be played by all. It's old, so the graphics are quite bad compared to current games, but it's still one of the best games ever made. System Shock. (The first one.) There has yet to be another game that's even close to the greatness this game achieved imo. :) It was designed back in the Pentium 90 days, so it doesn't even use 3D acceleration. But it's still worth playing.
The first level was blah though, but once you get out of it, the game rockets into magnificence. All other 3D RPG games suck in comparison. I haven't play Nights of the Old republic, but I'm sure it's not even close.(OK, I don't know this.) :D
Metroid Prim on the GameCube is also awesome. It is not a FPS and uses a lock on feature, so isn't a pain to play on a gamepad at all like all those other sorry attempts I've tried. For single play, it makes Halo look like the repetive FPS that it is. Take out cooperative mode and Halo is nothing great, it's only just good. ;)

Here's a great game. (http://zelda.com/minishcap/)
The games I like the best right now are only on Nintendo. All my PC games are great for multiplayer, but blah on the personal adventure stuff.
