MS PRO in a VAIO Laptop?

Does anyone know if the MS PRO will work on a vaio laptop? I would like this very much to happen because that way I can exchange feiles between my laptop and my clie directly, it would be great if it could work onmycamera, but I know that only a few newer models are supported, please owners of MS PRO try it on every slot you can so that we can know what´s going on, it doesn´t matter if it runs at a slower speed in an unsoported device, as long as it works.

Hmm, I don't know.

I have a Vaio R505 (love it even if it is PIII), and I was looking at doing this. I am getting my NX in the mail today (love UPS tracking) and I hoped I could do it.

I don't know what the answer is, but it would sure be helpful if I knew.

Now I just learned that to just pop the MS out of my laptop and pop it in my Clie to view the files without converting I need the $50 quickoffice with native file viewing :(.

If docs to go comes out with an upgrade, is it free to us clie users?

Damn!!!

I hope there is a software upgrade of some sort..... well the same thing went on with the NX's it was said that you needed a software update for the MS PRO's to work but apparently they have been working without the new software, so hopefully this will happen with VAIOs....... got my fingers crossed.

when I click through the sony support site for my model of VAIO (VX-88) and looked under updated drivers, there is a link that says memory stick.

The description says,

"This utility will install the Sony® Memory Stick® Slot Firmware Update Tool for Memory Stick PRO™ Media for the Microsoft™ Windows XP Home Edition and Professional and the Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Professional Operating Systems."

so it looks like they already have the notebook update out.

There is a list of models besides mine that this patch seems to work for. go check it out.
