skin VG on T5 is it possible?

Yes, Pruss made that too. Its called Skin DIA, and you can get it at palmgear, zlthemes.com, or many of the other palm software sites. The # of available skins is more limited, but there are some, and if you know how, you can make one.

Are you talking about switching the VG (DIA) are on the T5 or directly putting a Clie VG skin on the T5. The former is possible, the latter is not.

I just related the VG to Clie and the DIA to PalmOne. This is the reason for my suprise that Skin DIA could do this.

Referring to the fact that the skins are not interoperable. I believe the DIA and VG areas are quite different, as Sony came out with it first, to my knowledge, and Palm redesigned it a little differently. This is why there are two different programs.

Oh I see, VG is a clie thing and the thing on the T5 is called DIA? It goes to show there is a lot of stuff I don't know about in the palm world. I guess I'm still a noob :)

Can I assume this is the only app?

Should I be concerned with the statement about making a backup before using it? Is it possible that it will destroy my data or something require restoring all my data?

Any skins that make the icons for the 4 apps color and not the lame looking white on background? I seem some of the pics show this but when I load the skin it doesn't change the app icons in hte DIA.

This can be done in two ways, some skins will include the icons (for example my Crystal Theme does) or you can use an application like App Icon to change the icon itself which will then show up in the graffitti area. Remember that SkinDIA! allows you to merge skins so if you find app icons you like in one skin you can use them in another.

Yes, SkinDIA! does this. See the "Colors" menu. SkinDIA! is shareware, but the the "Colors" menu continues working even after the trial expires.

SkinDIA! lets you use T3 skins on a T5, but does NOT let you use Clie skins on a PalmOne device.

Basically, my two skinning products let you cross-load skins between different SIMILAR devices. Thus, T3 skins on T5 or T5 skins on T3 via SkinDIA!, while ClieSkinner lets you cross-load NR, NX, NZ and TH skins on the NR, NX, NZ and TH.

It's always possible. I haven't had any reports of it actually happening with any recently released version (I can't recall if it ever happened with any SkinDIA version).
