I've recently bought a SJ33 in japan and i really like it.
I'm getting more and more used to it and i think soon I will be totally addicted to it.....
My japanese reading is just good enough to deal with the menues on the clie itself but i have some trouble using the Palm Desktop software in japanese and also the appearance of some japanese characters on the japanese Palm Desktop Software since i'm still using an english OS on my laptop (some menus just show up as "??????").
Can anybody tell me if I can use the english version of Palm Desktop with a japenese OS on my clie?
If so, do i have to use Clie Palm Desktop or is the standard Palm Desktop fine?

I hope this is not a totally dumb question....it's my first PDA .

:D

Yes you can. Be aware that any Japanese text entered on your Clie will probably not display correctly on your PC, but otherwise you will be fine.

Download the latest version of Sony's Palm Desktop here (http://www.ita.sel.sony.com/bin/support/support.cgi?whichone=1&installfile=nxpdt41.txt&downloadfile=NXPDT41.EXE&loc=2)

No, it's definitely not a dumb question (I spent some time figuring out the answer myself back when I had a Japanese S500C...) ;)
