Does anyone have a good calendar/task list/etc program for the nz90 that is similar to the windows ce stuff? I am glued to microsoft outlook due to work and would love something similar in the palm. Any ideas?

DocCopper -
Check out datebk5 - the latest preview that really makes the Clie NX/NZ series shine is in the download section here.
While it doesn't 'look' like Outlook, specially not the chopped up version on CE, it is in my opinion the very best datebook / todo list / scheduling application available.
It's what AgendaFusion on the PocketPC tries to be...

I agree: Datebk 5 is it andis as close as you will get and you can gt used to it.
Agendus is the other one and the today view is nice but it lacks all the bells that Datebk has.

Ok... I was thinking of installing it to see how it looks (on my NR... soon to be NZ) and in the 'readme first' webpage I saw this:
"Duplicate Alarms? Make sure you run DateBk5 after every hotsync. You can also use a hack to do this automatically, or (if you are not using a Handspring device) you can download and install dbAlarm (http://www.PimlicoSoftware.com/dbalarm.zip) to disable alarms, but make sure you read dbAlarm's read-me-first file if you do this!"
Now I use alarms for my datebook entries heavily. The suggestion that I would have to either install a hack or run the DateBk5 *every* time I hotsync (which I do several times a day when I'm at work) is kinda annoying.
It suprises me that this program doesn't have something built into it so I just *wouldn't get duplicate alarms*.
So I'm curious what others here have seen with this duplicate alarm issue?
Thanks in advance,
-chris

From the "Preview-v50c-read-me-first.htm":
If dbAlarm is installed, DateBk5 no longer sets a wakeup alarm after a timechange or other condition that would trigger the built-in datebook to reschedule alarms (which in turn required that dateBK5 run to squash them). This avoids unexpected "wakeups" with apps like ClockFix and some other special third party apps. So, the duplicate alarm happens only if there is a time change or if you have some apps or hacks that would change the time (like DST hack which automatically changes the DST) or that move the appointments, thus forcing the DateBook to re-schedule all the alarms. I don't have any of them, and really I never had problems with DateBk5 (which really is, BTW, the best datebook out there). Moreover, last week I moved to Finland for a couple of days (so I had to change time-zone), I set the new TZ from within DateBk5, which handles wonderfully time-zones, and I didn't had any problem about alarms. However, as usual, the best thing you can do is try it!

Actually - Datebk5 does *not* sync with Outlook...it doesn't sync with anything...it uses the built in Datebook, Todo, Address and Memo databases that sync with Outlook (or Palm Desktop) depending on what you have installed.
To sync with Outlook, you'll either need Pocketmirror or Intellisync...
(Don't mean to nitpick...but it was an important nitpick)

Hotsync came with your CLie and you will need to set it up.
You do not need to find datebk in it, just the default agenda and datebook finds everything on the Clie. Good luck.
