Well, moving applications to cards is not a new idea, but this software is extremely featurefull and allows to manage complex applications that share creator IDs of have more than one creator ID. Moreover, it is free.

Link doesn't work since it's been truncated with the "..."
Would be useful if you did identify the programs name so we know what you're talking about! :)

Well at least the porduct ID is visible. For Palmgear just put in an "xyz" like so:

Hey everyone. I've been on the internet searching for an answer about this for a few days, and well, I'm getting frustrated. I just bought a Tungsten E and have begun trying to move some of my programs over to my new palm. This thread seems to be about what I'm looking for. Here's my problem:

My old palm is a TRGPro. It has a CF card slot and I have a program called AutoCF which allows me to keep .prc files on my palm and the bigger .pdb files in a directory on the CF card called "AutoCF." I have many medical texts for the PDA in that directory that que up when I start my Reader.prc on the TRGPro's RAM thus freeing up RAM on my TRGPro by keeping the database files on the CF card. ALSO, I was able to copy all of my basic palm desktop categories (Datebook, Memos, Addresses, etc.) over to the CF card too. That way, if I ever had a fatal crash and the TRGPro reset back to wiped factory settings, I could copy everything back over to RAM and be up and running again WITHOUT having to go home and hot sync.... you can probably see where I'm going with this....

CAN THIS BE DONE ON THE TUNGSTEN?!?!? I've downloaded FileZ so I could create a folder Palm/Programs/MemHack for the memhack program (which by my research is supposed to do what I'm looking for). I enable Memhack after putting the .pdb files in that folder on the SD card, but none of the programs seem to link/find their databases on my SD card. FRUSTRATING!!

I don't understand why if over 6 years ago, someone came up with a program (AutoCF) to allow palm's to communicate with external cards, it's not part of packaged software with new palms as almost all of them have expansion slots now.

Thanks for your help everyone... just trying to get up to speed with this newer technology.
