View Full Version : Should I buy it?
Hi there,
There's a floor model NR70 at my local Best Buy for $199. They've lost everything except for the unit itself. Currently, I have a T-615 which I plan to pass down to my wife.
I have a travel charger for the 615 as well as a Stowaway keyboard. Will they work with the NR70? I also want to listen to MP3. Can I use regular headphones or do I need to track down a set of the Sony ones?
So, is $199 a decent deal? Should I buy it?
Thanks for the advice!

Hi!
I don't really know about the connectors, but you can use any headphones for a portable unit (i.e. mini-male jack) with the Clie; you just can't control the music playback (volume, skip tracks, etc.)

Well, all I can say is that the demo units at my local stores are so manhandled that I wouldn't go near any of them. Just be very careful and make sure you get a regular warranty!

hey, i have an nr70v for sale for $250. it's just the pda and the cdrom that comes with it. rather than $199 for nr70 without the camera, how about one with a camera for about $50 more?

buy it. it probably works fine. for $199.00 you'll either get a great deal, or a good deal. and you sony connectors to other models probably won't work. sony tends to change everything with the new models. but i really like my nr-70. get it. go for the gusto. trust the force, luke.

The NR works with the T615 craddle.
My wife has my old T615 and I use it ok with the NR70V. The only thing is that because the small bump on the craddle that holds the T615 fixed in place doesn't match the small hole the NR has, it does not site 100% fixed in the craddle. But good enough for syncing and recharging.
Oh, one thing though. You'll have to get the NR70V CD, for the T615 drivers won't allow you to sync it. You need the NR70 drivers.
Hope it helps

The CD can be bought from sony or you can grab it from my ftp. There is also a yahoo usergroup that has a lot of the files you'll need.
