I just bought a 1gb Memory Stick PRO online (on its way), but it didn't occur to me to see if my TJ-37 will accept a card this size.

Can anyone confirm that it does?

I have MMPlayer and it would be awesome to be able to store 20-30 x 20min TV episodes on it -- or even a few full DVD movies , formatted for the 320x320 screen of course. Currently I can only fit 1 20meg TV episode on my clie. More would be amazing.

Yep. The pro slots should accept all of the newer large sizes like the 4GB even. I know for a fact that it accepts the 2GB ones, so no worries.

I have 256 and i am able to put 1 full VCD in my TJ35 in standard mode.
In good quality mode , my TJ35 starts droping frames while playing.

But dear ur battery will go down in around 1-2 hours !!

Suprisingly, playing videos does not kill my TJ-37's battery as WiFi usage does. I should benchmark how long it can go before it dies completely. Even then, I like to have the Belkin USB/Power with car charger cable handy.

a TJ37 battery is a terrible thing...but I do have that same belkin charger which helps and an iSun if I won't be near the car...I find I can fit between 40 and 50 minutes of video on my 128 stick usually...but then...the iSun is huge (compared to the clie) and a huge power source defeats the whole purpose...I'm thinking about buying a bigger memmory stick but it's hard to spend that kind of money when they're so close to the price of a portable DVD player...but then...it's still about how much stuff you want to carry...

If you follow the guide in the forum, you can get a full length film to 128MB.

I just got my 1gig Memory Stick in the mail. I was able to put Snatch and Oceans 11 on it. Each of the movies were about 100megs each compressed in DIVX format and formatted for the 320x320 screen of my TJ-37.

I have finished watching Oceans 11 on through MMPlayer. The quality is great. Good frame rate, good enough to read subtitles. The sound is also good, although not THX theatre quality of course. I am able to watch both Snatch and Oceans 11 and leaving me with 25% battery life afterwards. Of course, once I finished the movie the battery meter climbed back to 50%.

Overall, the TJ-37 makes a pretty competent personal movie playing device.
