Do you guys think the TG50 and the mac will be able to sync via Bluetooth?
If we use iSync, does that mean we won't be able to use Entourage X?
Synching via BT should work just the same as via USB, once you pair the devices properly.
Since I avoid Office, I have no idea about Entourage X. :)

OMG You just made me think! Perhaps no missingsync is needed if I have the BT! Someone please tell me if this works.

Hi all!
This is my first message here.
Answer: yes, I just now synced my TG50 via bluetooth. Everything worked flawlessly, with MissingSync.
You just need to setup everything on your Mac, and set a new connection setup in your Hotsync options on the PDA.
Works great.

Sweet. I think I'm gonna get one this weekend to replace my Treo 90. :)

I'm sorry, what is "missingsync"?

Missing sync is an app that makes it possible for the Mac to access the Clie's Memorystick. Sony hasn't developed drivers or software for Mac's.

Hello! I just got my TG50 today and downloaded MissingSync. I have tried to sync with my Powerbook G4 with Bluetooth dongle, and though they are definitely talking to each other in Bluetooth, they are not synching or doing anything that MissingSync allows.
On the Clie, I set up HotSync to "Local" and "Bluetooth," and set the Connection Setup so that the "Device" was my G4 (recognized it OK). On the Mac, I tried setting things up with the Bluetooth Serial Utility, but I was much fuzzier there--what exact settings do you need?
Anyway, when I try to sync, I almost immediately get the message, "Unable to initiate HotSync operation because the port is in use by another application"--but nothing else using Bluetooth is running.
What else am I missing? Any ideas? I would be greatly appreciative of any and all suggestions.

Okay, never mind.
After doing more looking into things, I stumbled upon the way to go. I downloaded "iSync 1.0 Palm Conduit" from Apple's web site and installed it. Under "HotSync Manager's" "Connection Settings" I then noticed a new serial port for Bluetooth that had not been there before, called "bluetooth-pda-synch port" (a similar port had been there, but it was a modem, not serial port).
Once I activated that port, the connection worked! Further, through iSync, the Address Book and iCal both synched perfectly with the TG50 and now I have the contents of both in my handheld.
Thanks anyway!
