Buy a UX50 now or wait!!??

Hello everybody !

I am about to get a UX50 but I m worried.
The thing is that this beautiful machine is already out since more than a year now and it feels late for buying it now.
Sony always update they products and it feel like it will come soon for the ux50...

What should I do? wait? is there anything better coming soon? I hear there and there that the UX 50 is getting difficult to find new now and that even if a new version comes out it can t be much better...

If I were you, I'd wait for something better to come along at this point. I am very happy with mine, but I got one of the first waves of the unit many, many moons ago.

The trap with these things is you can always wait. There will always be the next development, the next device, the newest gadget. That's technology.

But if you get it now, you can, and will enjoy the unit. Live for today !

I just bought one myself, and it just arrived today, problem is, I'm not home yet!! It's refurbished, sealed in the box by Sony, I don't think new ones exist. Sony has discontinued it's Clie line, I looked everywhere and there seems to be no new UX'es. Anyway, refurbished unit can sometimes be a good thing, it should have the latest firmware and OS patch, hopefully anyway.

We'll see. I currently own a Treo 600, previously owned 2 Clies, the NX series, the T series and the NR (old) series. I have been happy with all of them.

rcaban, please keep me updated about the condition of your refurbished ux. Can you tell it's been used? I also bought one (from eBay) and am waiting for it to arrive. I previously bought a Sony refurbished nz90 from Sonystyle and it looked very well used.

I bought a refurb (says so on the box - expansys had it down as factory recon) TH55 and it looks brand new, not a scratch. I also bought of eBay, but that one got "lost in the post" lol.

Done ! I bought my UX50! couldn t resist anymore! I had to follow my heart and you guys enthusiasm...

I mailed the seller about that ""refurbish ""stuff and he assured me that the clie are new and that there wouldn t be any problems. I also said that I would get a 90 days garanty.
We ll see...
