I'd like to conserve battery power while playing my PEGA-SA10 MP3 player on my SJ20.

Is it possible to power off the screen maybe with a 3rd party ap while I use it?

If it's any help, I've installed AudioPlayer 2.2 so that I can use other programs and let it run in the background (very cool compared to the included crap version).

I can't find any options to disable the screen.

Thanks for your help.

The instruction manual for Audioplayer ver 1.1 that came with the PEGA-SA10 specifically stated that using other progs while playing mp3 would not work.

As for the hold button, how long does it take to shut off the screen? I've flipped the hold button and the only thing it does is disable the button presses on the remote. Unless ver 2.2 that I installed doesn't register it... hmmm I'll go check something...

I think Mastervtec is unaware that the sj20 does not have a built in mp3 player, or hold button(?) I have the same question regarding the 3rd party app equivalent to the hold button. Anyone know of one? Porkfat, do I understand you correctly that Audioplayer 2.2 allows for background play while 1.1 does not?

Yes, the AudioPlayer for the adapter manual on page 4 states that the included version doesn't support background play.

So I downloaded 2.2 and it installed and runs perfectly.
