I tried the Adobe Reader that comes with the Treo650, it's CRAPOLLA!!! So being a former owner of a Sony UX-50, I was able to move the "Picsel Viewer.prc" and the PDB over to the Treo650. But each time I go to Run it, I get "There is not enough memory on this device to run this application." and that's it. I went and thined out the internal memory as far as it will go, still the same results.
Any Ideas? because the Picsel Viewer is the ONLY thing I have ever seen on a Palm PDA that views a PDF intact!

Sorry, I do not believe other handhelds have enough heap memory, or know how to access their memory, well enough to run this program. Its just that its a huge program, and the pdfs are equally huge. This is why Sony pdas will run things like this and Netfront, which also take up alot of heap memory.
If I am incorrect in this assumption, please correct me.

Erm, the T3 has way more memory than most Sonys...
I personally think that the Sonies simply check for the device ID before starting the program, so a simple swap of the feature in the PalmOs feature memory could fix it all up... . The alert was changed to something meaningless for a disguise, to make hacking the copy protection more difficult..

Great - How the hell would you do that?

Tam Hanna, youre right, the T3 does have alot of heap memory. I was mainly referring to most pdas, as the T3 was Palms first, to my knowledge, with a good deal of heap memory. It takes about 6mb to run, which is outside the limits of most pdas.

I think that it will ony be a small patch, you just change a few bits in the Palms feature Database that can be found in RAM. I may try it when I have time...

This viewer is the best PDF viewer i have ever seen. I wrote to the developer on something for the Treo 650, but it looks to be an agreement application to only run on cetrtain devices. I think they would make a killing in the market if the App ran on just the Palm OS 5.0 as a download. I can't figure out why a company would only hold a product for certain devices, since right now most of Sony's PDA are gone from the market.
Well I was able to get the Picsel Viewer of the Sony UX-50 I have with the PDB, but that is the extent of my creative hacking skills. I could supply it to you if you want a shot at it making this change?
