www.buy.com (http://www.buy.com) has the Lexar 128MB memory sticks for $54.99 with a $20 mail-in rebate that is good until March 31st.  Shipping was free when I purchased it.

I have always wondered about these mail in rebates.

1. How long does it take until you get the $ after you send in the rebate?

2. Can you buy 10 (or 100 :)) sticks and use the rebate for all 10 or is it only valid for one item?

expansys.com does cheap memory sticks, but i don't think they ship to the US.

Still good for those of us who live in the UK

1. Usually 6-10 weeks from point of mailing in rebate.

2. Usually the rebates are limited to 1 purchase per household name/ address. I have seen some for 2 items, but none are unlimited.

The $54.99 128MB Lexar Memory Stick has a $15 (limit 2) mail in rebate. Buy.com also qualifies this purchase for free ground shipping. I bought one last year and they e-mailed me that they were going to overnight for free (additional promotion at that time).

It was received the next day. I sent in the rebate about two weeks ago and the company processing them has a tracking/support Q&A web site www.rebateshq.com which I just checked and the system acknowledged qualifying and in final processing. Should comfort anybody concerned about rebates and the status while waiting for the check.

Nice deal $40 final cost, NO $4 to $8+ s&h.

My memory stick came in today. Arrived by UPS this afternoon.

I got the email today also that said the memory stick was being shipped.

Not bad for free shipping.

Jeez! I just got an email telling me that they won't honor my rebate because it wasn't within the right date range. As far as I can tell, what happened was: I ordered a 128M memory stick on 12/31/02, because that was the last day of the special deal at PCmall...I thought. I must have downloaded the rebate form the next day, when a NEW (but identical deal started), so the form said 1/1/03-3/31/03 or some such.

I can't find the earlier rebate form at PCmall now or at the rebateHQ center. I don't suppose anyone saved the file on their computer and could email it to me?

Hi, Pivo?!
75 Euro?? That's actually quite a lot better than I've been able to find.. do they ship to Belgium?
In Belgium the best price I've found is 89,- Eur + 6 shipping cost,
for a Lexar stick.
In Germany (through www.gunstiger.de), the best price is 78,50 Eur for a Sony, and 65,90 for a Lexar stick - but the shipping cost is usually high (or nonexistent) and payment facilities are more like 'difficulties' - very few accept creditcards.
I don't know how it is in the Netherlands, but in Belgium it doesn't pay to order from the US as everything passes through customs and is taxed an additional 20% or so.
75 seems a very good deal to me!
Cheers, Werner

For dutch customers (perhaps even european), memorysticks can be bought at: http://geheugenshop.pocketpc-club.nl/ for a total of EUR 71 + EUR 6,50 = EUR 77,50 (128mb)
Also it can be bought at www.informatique.nl for EUR 73, can be picked up or sent to you for EUR 7,50

Haven't seen any better deals yet...at least not in Holland.
