I know PalmOne came out with its own wifi card but the idea of having a 2 in 1 (memory and wifi) function is one card is very appealing so I am curious if anyone tried out the Sandisk 256mb wifi card with the T5 yet and did it work? Thanks in advance.

No it does not work. It is a limitation of the PalmOS that keeps it from working according to SanDisk.

Here is an application that will allow you to create a virtual card in a Palm's memory so you can use Palm's WiFi card and have space in a virtual card to download files to.

How about a limitation of Palm is too stingy to let them know how to make it.

That's not totally correct. It's a limitation of Palm license that prevents it from working. They have an "unofficial" driver that works just fine on the TE and the T3, it can be downloaded directy from SanDisk here:

I don't know if it has been tested with the T5 however.

That driver is not for the combo card, it is for the SanDisk WiFi connect card that I have that is for the Zire71. It does not work with the TE in most cases, but some say that it has. It hasnt worked on my TE so I say that it doesnt work.

The other issue with that card not working with the T3/T5 is that the card is coded to work with the TI processor that is in the TE and Zire71, and not the Intel processor that is in the T3/T5.

To get wifi for your TE, your best bet is teh Enfora wifi case (www.enfora.com) as there are currently no SDIO cards that have wifi and support the TE.

You do not really need the SanDisk WiFi 256MB card because you have $160MB of space that is already formatted like normal flash memory (same as you would find on a memory card). If you need space to store stuff, palmOne already pulled that off for you with the T5.
