Hi, Happy New Year
I got a question. My headset produces a lot of noise and works only in one channel. I have tried several headsets (from regular players) and they all have the same problem. Any recomendations?

Chances are the contacts in the headphone jack are pushed in, or the wires going to the jack itself are detached from the jack or the main board (if that's where the other end of the wires is). If it's under warranty, see about getting it fixed/replaced. If it's out of warranty or you feel like voiding the warranty, you might be able to pry the contacts back out. Never tried it, but I've heard of people who did. If it's the wires, some re-soldering or wire replacement might be in order (again, you'll most likely void the warranty). Proceed at you own risk.

I have had a problem like this too. The headphones worked well with the PC, but not with the Tungsten T3. In this case, you simply need to have the handheld reapired, as the jack in the Palm is getting loose!
Sometimes, however, the headphones just get damaged over time. You have them in your jacketpocket, they get pulled, etc.. eventually the plug breaks...
