I have been playing around with my wife's tg-50 and love the ability to play movie trailers (a favorite thing of mine on the pc) and using the flash player. It has made me want to upgrade from my t615. I am looking at the nx-60 (don't need a camera) because of the larger screen for multimedia purposes. Does the movie player and flash player support the 320x480 full screen mode on the nx series? and almost as important, does docs-to-go support full screen mode? I use sheet to go quite a bit and the extra screen space would be really helpful.

In general how much use does the large screen reallyget? If it's not much then I will probably just get the tg-50 which my wife likes a lot.

Thanks

Don

well, speaking of the TG50, i'd like to hear a fresh opinion on the keyboard-- there's too many people that have too high of standards over in the TG50 forum.. what's your opinion of the TG50 thumboard compared to any other you've tried?

The majority of my apps make use the full screen mode on my NX70. I have over 100+ apps and I could never go back, as I am thoroughly spoiled! Yes, Docs to Go uses the full screen and is the only way to go. Some apps that can rotate the screen are even nicer. BTW, my clie is almost always in full screem mode, especially when using a launcher.

Yes to your question, full screen flash and movies!

Docs To Go supports Hi-Res+, so you can definitely fit more rows on the screen. However, no spreadsheet editor currently supports landscape mode, which is what I'd really find useful. Rows take up fewer pixels, and I'd love to be able to fit a few more columns in each view. But oh well.

I own an NX60, and besides the fact that I'm getting irritated with Sony for repeatedly screwing over the consumers (No CF memory, No JackSprat, no OS updates, etc) it's really been a great PDA. If Palm ever came out with anything remotely close to what Sony is offering, then I'd jump ship as fast as I could. But until then, theres not much to be done.

I can just see the new petition: "Please everyone, sign this petition to make Sony allow us to remove their crappy apps from ROM!!"

I had a T615c, now own the NX60. I love the newer displays as the color cast issue is now fixed.
Speed of processor really aids the execution of the applications and use of the Memory stick.
You can never go back once you have used the 320x480 screen.
OS 5 was a bit dissapointing at first (could not use some of my programs) but once you have used OS 5, it is hard to go back.
The MP3 player is a definite plus.
Virtual Graffiti is great, the screen trace of your strokes helps your drawing.
I use the keyboard often and feel that it definitely adds value.
I have converted videos and find that it works great.

the only negative vs. your 615 or your wife's TG50 is that size. I have gotten used to it and feel that that screen and keyboard are worth the size impact.

the final thing is that since you can get these marked down that it makes it all the more reasonable!!

Hey Can anyone tell me what OS 5.2 will offer????

I find while the majority of apps for palm os don't take avantage of the hires+ screen, almost all of the best text and pictures editors/viewers/movie (d2g, quickoffice, repligo, isilo, handstory, acidimage, etc. etc.). I am glad because I think it is most important for these type of apps to use the fullscreen. While I can handle playing a game that isn't hires+ (always nice when it does though), I can hardly stand viewing pictures and especially text on only 2/3rds of the screen. here is a short list of some of the apps that are hires+ (http://www.clieuk.co.uk/cphiresplus.shtml)
