Hi,
I am using FireFox 1.0 to view your web pages for quite some time now. Basically, the Tab View is very useful-but there is one problem:
The Browser slows down to a crawl and puts 100% CPU strain on my machine whenever I oopen a new Tab for a second or two. It gets impossible to even click another Link in the main Page,.... .
Basically, I think that this Text highlighting Ad Service is causing the problems. Do any of you have similar experiences?
My machine is a pretty fast P4 with 1.8GhZ-and there are no speed issues with Nexave,....
Anybody else experiences similar problems?

I noticed the same problem with Firefox too, and stumbled upon your post while doing a search. Anyone have any ideas what's up?

Yeah, it has a few other problems displaying in Firefox too, like the box im writing in now is too wide.
No problems with Firefox on OS X. But thanks for the heads-up, we'll check what's happening.
[edit]Can you check if it's happening at Brighthand too? We basically have the same ad servers.

There's a problem with one of our ad providers. They are having trouble serving ads and thus the site slowdown. We'll try to contact them asap.
Sorry about that.

Btw, it will be helpful if you can look at the lower left of the Firefox window (status bar), and tell us what it says when you experience the slow down.
Thanks.

Transferring data from tribal.us.intellitxt.com...
That's what mine says.
Thanks! That should narrow things down :)

Yeah its definitely those hover, text (green underlined) ads.. they really slow down my pc also - amd athlon 64-bit! I think its a problem with the actual ads on the pc not the downloading thereof. Maybe just get rid of 'em altogether - I have never felt the urge to click on one in the slightest.

Although this page has loaded, still in the lower left hand corner it displays transferring data from tribal.us.intellitxt.com. By now it should just be "done." Leaving this post now......still see transferring.
It's those damn ads. I have adblocked and now it runs ok.

If you're using FireFox 1.0 (like I am), you should also be using the adblock extension with it (just like I am :D).
http://adblock.mozdev.org/
First, go into AdBlock Preferences and check the box next to "Enable AdBlock". Then, in the box to the right of "New Filter", add the word: intellitxt, then hit "Add". ;)
I am using FireFox right now with 1SRC...and I'm currently on DIAL-UP  and the pageloads are VERY VERY fast.
Nice one - was using adblock but never thought to do that. Don't suppose the sponsors will like this solution though.

Thanks!
Will get it soon. I never ever klicked a banner or any other ad on 1src because the ads slow dowen my machine-that is something that I do not support. AdSense is cool and has value, but this tribal stuff is, well, tribal....
