I'm planning to buy something for my nx80 that allows me to go on my wireless network. Is there any practical difference between the compact flash based WL100 and the memorystick based wireless lan card? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

My understanding is that only the WL100 or WL110 is compatible with the NX80, not the memory stick units.

You understand correctly. The MS wireless card doesn't work in the NX80. :(

Still, for those like myself with a device that can work with both - which is better? Considering range and power consumption.

I think the MS card has a better range and better driver. I like the shape/fit of the CF one better, but the MS has better features.

The Hagiwara WiFi MS has a nice and simple access point search tool, which the CF card does not have.
In my case, I chose the MS because I use the CF card to run apps using Powerrun.

Thanks for the replies. To be more specific, I have a NX-80-V/U - I assume that doesn't change my compatibility issues?
Do you know any good places to pickup a WL100 or WL110?

Chimichango, it just so happens that I have one to sell. PM me if interested.
