PC Connection (http://www.pcconnection.com) claims to have the TG50 in stock - search for 'TG50' to find it. Actually, a quick search on their site turned up two different items - one the was standard package, but the other included a free leather case! List price, of course, and I'm not sure why you'd need a case for the TG50, but thought it might help someone...

The headline says leather case but the description says nylon. My guess is that its the same nylon case Sony offers on their web site.

Actually, I ordered this yesterday from PCConnection and got it today. It's a leather Targus wallet for the Palm III/V/Visor. I don't know if I will use it, but it's the same price as the regular TG50.

Well, I love my TG50 but all the hard cover really offers is screen and keyboard protection. What about protecting the rest of the body? I will probably be looking for an additional case that I can get to prevent the body from getting all scratched up and worn looking. I want my TG50 to be kept looking pristine so when I sell it, I can get more for it.

Cases that Perfectly Fit TG50

The Blackberry 957 comes with a clip-on holster-style black leather case. Price at yahoo = $30. TG50 fits as securely as the Blackberry. Easy to simply remove TG50 as needed, and return to the case. Clip is stationery, meaning there is no swivel action. Held lengthwise. No belt needed. Overall, a trustworthy case, as they manage to add some padding without additional bulk. Entire device is covered, except for very tippy top, as it's an open-top case.

Walmart's
Leather Direct kiosks (most malls)

Re Walmart's:
These are marketed as cell phone cases, and are found in the area where the phones/CDs are, as well as in the women's handbags sections. Guys, don't freak. The cell case is typically hooked onto the bag (typically under $15), so you can grab it and do whatever with the bag itself. These come in all sorts of colors and otherwise rare color-combo's, mostly canvas textured (i.e., tannish background, with one bold black stripe running down the center). No fall-protection with these guys though. Just a convenient case, so you don't have to worry about the thing falling out of your pocket if you bend down and the like, or scratching the flip cover or back. Also, these tend to have a keyring attached, so you'd be on your own to get a clip. Look over in the jewelry section-- there are assorted straps, clip-it's, etc there, all under $5. Local dollar stores also have key-ring related clippies or whatever you call 'em.

Walmart's CDs/phone area cases are invariably black leather, with stretch sides and a fold-over flap. The flap attaches/closes via velcro. Stationery clip is attached to back. Adds no bulk whatsoever, as its pretty much a hand-in-glove fit. There are two sizes-- super-small and slightly larger. You want latter. Cost is in the 10 bucks range.

Re: kiosks:
I first noticed these a summer or two ago, at the Garden State Rest Area Plaza, just after crossing NY into NJ on the Garden State Parkway. The big thrill here is that they run 2 for $12. Black or tan leather. Stretch sides, with fold-over velcro-attach flap. Fits perfectly-- but 2 sizes as with Walmart, so be sure to get the slightly longer one. Some have a stationery clip-on on back of the case; others have the swivel clip. Either way, no belt (or pants loop) is necessary. No added bulk.

Notes:
1.--- Personal preference-- re: Walmart/kiosk cases: I found it easier to use by cutting about a half-inch off the top of the side stretch material. Just makes it easier to slide the PDA in and out. Secure fit, with or without the "surgery".
2.--- Smaller size fits the Treo perfectly. Larger size adds about an inch in length, making it fine and dandy for the TG50.
