I was attracted by an Iambic emailing announcing the new Agendus and by their
Money Back Guarantee (http://www.iambic.com/support/moneyback.asp?lang=en) so I decided to buy it.
After two days of use I noticed that the upgrade was not worth for me so I asked for my money back.
No replies so far.. beware

It has not been that long. Just 2 days or so. Im sure you will get your money back. The weekend just passed and im sure theu did not stay at the office to process your return on their day off. You are not the only customer.
Find somthing better to do then complain

I guess I didn't explain myself properly: I used Agendus for 2 days, but I asked for my moeny back more than two weeks ago.
I am complaining because I am afraid I won't get that money back ever and I wanted you to know

I may take up to 2 weeks for a refund or longer. You should know this when you buy stuff on line. What is the big deal anyway Why didnt you down load a free trial that is what their for next time use a free trial first. It certainly is much smarter than buying it and then your not happy. Then you complain for your money bach right away. what gives Pal

I was wondering the same thing as UXExpert.. why didn't you use the trial before purchasing it, or did they only offer the money back gurantee if you weren't happy?

That's what I did, but the trial version is not fully functional and if they guarantee the money back refund.. why do not trust them?? That's my mistake
I can assume two weeks or one month for the return of the money if there is a reply beforehand, but this is not the case: two mails and no replies at all.
Wouldn't you be worried??

I am no great fan of iambic but this is absolutely not true. The trial is a full-featured, non-crippled, genuine application. I have no idea where you got this idea from!!

Both the Agendus 8 and Agendus 9 demo apps were fully functional... The only nag is that during the 1st 3 days it asks you to extend the trial at iambic.com and during the actual trial period it reminds you once per day (1st start) and that is it...

I down loaded the Agendus 9 trial and the STANDARD addition is fully functional. I do not think it is possible to try the PRO addition though. If you can please let me know how. I am still debating between datebk 5, agendus and the standard PIM.

Perhaps it is time to write a more formal letter, not threatening, but simply stating the facts without room for disagreement.
Dear Sir or Madam:
I recently purchased a copy of Agendus x.x for the Palm OS. It was purchased with the understanding that there was a 30 day no-risk guarantee. The product was purchased on xx/xx/xx.
After using the product for a period of time, I realized the product did not fit my usage lifestyle, and attempted to get a refund by properly contacting sales-support on xx/xx/xx. I have yet to get even a reply.
As the 30 days approaches and I am more and more concerned that a delay in the process will keep the sale rather than return the money, but at the cost of my money and your company's reputation, I hope this is not the case. I genuinely hope that we can finalize the process and honor the 30 day guarantee offered at the time of sale (and still offered on your website).
Please make sure that the money for the sale is returned, preferably with an email response letting me know you are honoring the refund agreement.

See my comparison (http://tech.hernandez5.net/html/datebk5_vs_agendus.html), for what it's worth.

I was a registered user of the previous version and was invited to upgrade through a link. I downloaded the new version as a trial and whenever I tried to add a date I got a nag screen with the text "trial version" or something like that.
Anyhow, the question is that they are promising that they would give the money back if the product is not satisfying, and after two weeks and two e-mails I got nothing as reply..

Very nice job! I guess you know that DB5 will link to memos as well as contacts and todos. You can also hide the split screen with the arrow icon on the upper right. The easy way is to have the split screen set how you like it, then tap the split screen arrow in the upper left and select Close Split Screen. The red up-arrow changes to a blue down-arrow. Tap the blue down-arrow and the split screen comes back. There's also a longer way to get there: After cycling through split screen and full screen using the menu under the arrow or shortcuts, the arrow turns from red to blue and points down vs. up when you get to no split screen in the rotation. Tapping on the blue arrow brings back the split screen.
The latest DB5 supports 32K memos, so the appointment logging with each contact is now more robust. I use it to keep a history of appointments with each doctor. In case you mess up badly, its built-in memo editor has a master Undo that will return the memo to what it was when you opened it for editing.
One of the nicest things about Datebk5 is that it can be as simple or as flexible to use as your needs dictate.

I copy the e-mail received from Iambic, and yes, it was not fully functional, i.e.: I couldn't add any new date
Thank you for purchasing Agendus for Palm OS Standard Edition, we appreciate your business!
We have noticed that you have not yet completed the activation process.
The activation of your product is a two-step process. The first code
you received was a Certificate Code which allows the program to run in
limited mode for up to 15-days.
The second step in the process requires that you provide your Device ID to our automated system. You can find your Device ID from within the About or Registration screen of your program. Once you provide us the Device ID, we are then able to generate an Unlock Code which, once entered in the program, will give you full and unlimited access.
Still, the main problem is that they guaranteed the money back if the customer was not satisfied with the product. Two weeks now and no replies at all (I have sent already two mails).
Don't misunderstand me: I am a registered user since long ago, and I have been upgrading the product all along. I feel fooled and I just wanted to warn you
Thanks for your advices and replies

hherbzilla,
I have read your review quite a few times. Actually I hope you know that many of us (now I am just assuming many) really appreciate all of your hard work. Unfortunately I still can't decide if I like either app. Agendus is pretty, but all of the reviews say datebk 5 is better. I do like how well datebk 5 is supported and updated. I think I like Palm's PIM (updated T3 ones), but there are a few times where I need just a little bit more flexibility with the datebook. I also think that time will show me just how powerful datebk 5 really can be.
Right now I am leaning towards the use of the built in agenda screen on the T3 and datebk 5 (I assume I can use single button launcher and define the calender button).

Call them: 408-736-2000. Note that they hide their phone number very well, I had to get it from whois.

I`ld be peeved too... I`ld also be worried that they would claim you didnt contact them in time to get your money back.
Ring them. Email then again with a 'read reciept'.
