View Full Version : TG50 alarm question ??

Hi all!
I am new in business i decided to buy handheld for the first time.
I am most interested in PEG TG50 but I have a question. Besides other things,I need device that have different alarms to remind me on tasks, meetings, events, birthdays etc.
Does Peg TG50 have such options or just have alarm in date book? How many sounds avaliable?

Hi Maxyrhc,

I use a third party program called agendus, and it allows me to choose among the 15 or so alarms that came with the device. You can use a different tune for each alarm. You can even record your own voice for an alarm using the built-in voice recorder. Buy one, it's great for a business person.

I went to iambic.com and I think I like Agendus.
On the same time I noticed that some people talk about DateBk5. What do you think about it? I can see that it is not so colorful like Agendus but but some people think it's better.

DateBk5 is the BEST app for Palm. Worth every penny and then some. Agendus does not even come close. Try it. You will never go back.

I use agendus, but don't like setting up an event for every alarm I want to run.

Check out megasoft2000.com. they make a clock program called megaclock that holds up to 20 or so alarms. You can set the days and the alarm sounds. Like my son has Karate on Tues and Wed, so I setup one alarm for both days at the specific times. It pops up a message stating the description of the alarm. I use it as a clock as well, I have mapped one of the buttons on my TG50 for Megaclock so I can quickly see the time.

My specific version of agendus doens't allow for color pop-up alarm messages. While my Megaclock alarm pop-ups do!
