Hi..pls help me... My nx70 suddenly flashed up an error and resetted itself.. next it could not detect my 1gb memory stick pro from magic gate. However, it could detect my other memory stick. What s the problem? is my memory stick spoiled? if so, what can i do to fix it? Pls help...

What size is the MS that still works? Had the 1gig MS been working in your nx70? Do you have the fix for MSPRo installed? You can get that from the Sony support site.

I'd try to reinstall the MSPro update as previously stated.

Also, if you have a MS reader on your PC you can try the 1gig MS in that to make sure it's not a problem with the MS.

To access the magicGate memeory Stick Pro, you must have the Sony Update MSPRONX_ENUS.PRC installed (and of course it was lost in the hard reset).

The question I have for you is;

Is the memory stick that still works (the 256mb) a regualr blue memory stick (by that I mean, NOT a MS Pro w/Magic Gate) or what is it.

I have the same problem and need to get a memory stick that can be recognized after hard reset when MSPRONX_ENUS.PRC is not installed.

Hope this helps and thanks in advance for the info.

Memory Stick pro "DOES NOT" work in the nx70v, i have 1 my self i know, cause i also have a 256 pro. It only accepts magic gate memory sticks NO PRO. The devices that accept pro mem sticks, should all have a slot saying "memory stick PRO" in this case our nx70v's dont have it. So to bad for us.

I'd have to differ with you. My NX70 uses a 256MB MS Pro just fine. It clearly reads on the MS "Memory Stick PRO". It's from Sandisk. Rrettke is right, I'd install that patch from Sony. hopefully it will fix your problem. If not, I'd backup and do a hard reset and then install all over again. Maybe it's something that you've most recently installed that's conflicting or something.... :o
