The problem I've raised before continues:
I still have difficulty connecting to 1src. On average I can connect 1 or 2 times a week. The second PC in the house can occasionally also get through. It's Sat. afternoon now and I've been able to connect at this time before; this would correspond to about 5-7 hr earlier in USA .

It does seem a puzzle but I'm now wondering if it might be related to how busy (or quiet) the site is. This does not happen with any other web address that I'm using or have ever used.

Is anyone else having this difficulty? Any ideas? I do miss the site on the 'off' days.

Regards,
Carol

Hmm, there's no noted outage/maintenance on the 1src server. Have your tried using different browsers (e.g. FireFox)? I wonder what is causing your problems.

Oh-firefox slows to a crawl when used with 1src. I don't know why, but my P4's CPU load rises to about 100% and stays there for an really long time...
Personally, I think that this ad service(the Text highlighter) is the one to blame here. Can't you cook up a version without this system?

I think that is a bug with Firefox - I get it with several other sites too, but Konqurer, IE and Opera don't do anything like that. I haven't been able to track down the root cause in FF yet 'tho...

Thanks to you all for your input. It's been over a week since I've been able to get lsrc so have only now got your comments. I have installed FireFox but it hasn't shown any improvement over Internet Explorer so... on to Konqurer, IE, and Opera.

I never even knew before that there was such a thing as a 'browser' before - I thought it was a person who was too lazy or short of time to read a whole book. This must be education the hard way!

I've never had a problem getting to 1src... IE or Firefox. I'm using the latter now. However, I recall a similar thread and people were on both sides (i.e., many with problems accessing and many with no problems at all). This may remain one of life's mysteries. ;)
