Well I neglected to put a question mark on the title, thus bringing more into this topic.

Is there a way to increase the range of my WL100 card? I have a nonworking, opened one for experimentation. Accepting all ideas no matter how trivial!

oooh...
Could you post pictures of the dissected WL100?
Why doesn't it work anymore, because you opened it?

The non-functioning of the card - the clie recognises it but it doesn't work - was what prompted me to open it. I have a job interview now, but will try to remember to post some photos when I get back.

Here's the deal - I will post pics of my opened WL100 IF you guys can come up with a way to increase the range.

Would removing the stickers work? Are the metal panels usod as aerials?

How'd the interview go?

AFAIK, the top part of the card is the antenna. I think the panels are used as structural support for the card. I have also have a WL100.

More pics..

To open the card, I used a knife, and with the (careful) help of a family member, tapped it into the line (join) that goes around the whole card.

Looks like the aerials may be the two plasticky things at the top. They seem connected, if only a small bit.

Probably is a very simple, but have you unselected the "PowerSaveMode" In the Wireless Lan Setup? (under the advanced setup)?

Yes, I have. Thanks for the input though!
