I'm having lots of problems syncing with Outlook 2000. It was working at first, but then stopped all of a sudden last week.

I have a Treo 600 setup disc from my wife's phone/pda. If I install that to my desktop, can I configure my T5 to use the Treo's chapura conduits for Outlook?? I figure Chapura will be installed, then add another device as a syncing option somehow??

I would not install the T600 palmOne software to use with the T5. What error messages are you getting with O2000? Or what exactly is happening?

My error messages read like this for the Calender:

Outlook Calendar
OLERR:11-0003 (0x84140201)
OLERR:03-0001
OLERR:0D-0004
OLERR:0D-0001
- Not Synchronized
Outlook Calendar synchronization failed

The same goes for Contacts, Notes, and Tasks.

PalmOne's website says these errors are "under investigation":
OLERR error page (http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,kb=PalmSupportKB,ts=Palm_External2001,CASE=obj(31167))

On top of that, they're actually referring customers to Chapura's site to buy a piece of software that WILL work for $50!!

I don't have a T5 but I have seen that error on a couple of occasions with my T3 (saw it yesterday, as a matter of fact). I fixed it yesterday by simply having Outlook open. I fixed it earlier by repairing the pst file. There are some instructions about how to do it over at Brighthand - don't have the link handy right now.

You really shouldn't use the version of PM that came with your Treo unless you choose to sync with the "legacy" databases instead of the new ones. (Of course, if you do that, you'll be giving up the stuff in the new databases, like 32K memos.) If you really want to use PM, get the version written for use with the new databases - I think it's called XT but don't quote me on that.

I searched through Brighthand, but couldn't find the fix. If you could give me a little more of a clue to searching the site it would be very helpful. I couldn't find a search button on the site.

The search function is on the left side of the forums page. Didn't have time to find the exact message I was referring to earlier but it should be one of these (http://discussion.brighthand.com/palmhandhelds/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=807567&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending)

Thank you Vidge. Your tips along with reinstalling the hotsync manager, downloading the latest Outlook conduits for the T5, and gosh knows what else...it's working. Now if I don't breathe on it, it just might work from here on out.

I can't understand how PalmOne is knowingly admitting there fault in the conduits for Outlook by advising users to look into purchasing the Chapura XT software for a whopping $50! Maybe it's time for T5 users to demand that for free from PalmOne!
