Problem play mp3 on clie's audioplayer

I do not have problem playing mp3 files ripped from the CDs/downloaded from Internet on my clie's audioplayer. But I cannot play those mp3 that I create or convert myself using riverpast. These mp3 play fine on my pc. Does anyone has any idea?

make sure they are fixed bit rate, variable bit rate files will not work. My recommended setting is 96 or 128 kbps.

You are correct. I discovered that the default mp3 encoder that comes with Riverpast's audio converter does not respect the settings given. Even when I select 96kbps, the files are encoded in 55kbps. Everything works after I replace the encoder with lame_enc.dll.

I use the freeware RealJukeBox that came from my old N760C installation CR-ROM to convert music CD to MP3 @ 96 kbps. It still works great with my TH55.
