converting mqv files

I have a phobia when it comes to reading manuals, consequently after a few days of playing with my NX (after selling my 2 month NR for £250 !) I realised I would need to check the manual to find out how to convert an mqv file into an AVI or something recogniseable on a PC.

But I cannot find it, it's probably because i'm stupid, but it doesn't seem to refer to it in the manual.

How do we do this ? is it possible, am I as stupid as I suspected ?

Any help from anyone who can read the manual would be gratefully accepted.

Just rename file form MQV to MOV.

Want to convert to avi? ( MOV to AVI )

Actually you don't even need to do that. Just double click on the MQV movie, select quicktime as the program to open it, and make it the default for that type. Also if you pay $29 for quicktime pro you can convert it to many formats. Cheap video and it works.
