I've got a much-loved NX80V. :) I want to buy a laptop to sync with and I'd dearly love to get an Apple iBook. I know it's possible to connect the NX80V to an Apple using a Mark/Space sync download but where does that leave me as far as loading third party apps is concerned? I'm worried I'd be able to join the NX80V to the iBook but that's where it would end  Am I I better off buying a Sony Vaio with Windows XP Professional - which has the obvious advantage of an in-built MemoryStick slot?

Many thank in advance for any help.

.prc files are just that - .prc files. You can get them onto your Palm using a card reader (memstick or CF) using either operating system. I wouldn't worry about this. The iBook is a nifty laptop. The Sony S260 is nifty too, but I really hate their tiny Firewire ports (they destroy the cables). Either one would be great. My next laptop is the Powerbook (waiting for Macworld San Francisco in january to hear about a faster chip).

Thanks so much! That's put a lot of my worries to rest - think I'll go for the Apple.
