yes, the VZ doesnt seem to be too popular in japan, and the street prices in Akihabara have dropped to a low of US$600

whew!!!

nevertheless im still not going to get one until sony "improves" the CF slot to be compatible with a majority of devices (and that would be PHS communicaations card, modem cards, BT cards, etc)...

Then I think you'll never buy it... As Sony didn't release CF API (or even Sony hasn't full CF API) and drivers should not be provided by Sony, is by makers' of CF cards.

Reason Number 1: It Doesnt Have A Camera As The Predecessors Did!!!!! Japanese Ppl Love To Have Cameras Integrated. For That Price, A Camera Is A Must!

Reason No1 IMHO:
The Goddamn handheld Engine combined with Sony not releasing ther API for their DSP. If the API is not here, developers cannot use the DSP to their advantage, and thus are limited to doing everything with the 123MhZ that the Handheld Engine provides. And that is-frankly spoken-not enough for a Media Canter Handheld..

I've been using Clie since Sony N700, recently I just got a Treo650 and had used it for past month already, it's a great pda phone, but it's not a great PDA for me (small screen), so I would love to give VZ90's a try.
