Hi, Is the Sony Bluetooth MS compatible with the NX80v? If so is a software patch/upgrade needed or does it work with the software provided on the Bluetooth installation disc?

Visit the Clie UK support site (http://www.clie-link.com/uk/updates.asp?ID=884&submenu=&mainmenu=) for the drivers. Download the NX70 drivers. If that link doesn't work try this (http://www.clie-link.com/uk/updates.asp) one.
The NX73 in Europe has bluetooth built-in so there are no drivers for it. You have to look at the NX70 one -- Palm OS5 drivers for PEGA-MSB1 (with BIP support) EN (or FR if you speak french or DE if you speak deutsch)

I've already got an NX80 and have just picked up a bluetooth memorystick cheap off ebay, but at present l don't have any bluetooth device to connect to, so l can't check it out. On the Bluetooth MS box it doesn't list the NX80, l guess because at the time the MS was produced the NX80 had not come out, so advice on whether it is compatible straight from the box or whether l need a patch would be greatly appreciated

It is compatible. My friend has an NX80 and the mem stick and uses it with his Nokia 3650. Do not use the drivers that come with the BT mem stick. You have to download OS5 drivers off the link I gave you earlier.
Afterward, go to an Apple store (if you're in America/London) and try it there. It works. The mem stick came out in early 2002 - a long time before the NX80. You don't need a patch, just those files I alredy mentioned in an earlier post.
