Hey guys,

Look at my RAM size!!! 9MB :D
http://jamerican.net/1src/IFinds/IFinds6.jpg

I found a way to run NetFront 3.1 on my Internal Card without any problems. There is a loading time that takes place but it is worth it for the space and it's not as long and tedious as ZLauncher's shortcut loading. :D

Required:
-About 2MB of card space (Recommend: Internal Media)
-PowerRun
-ZLauncher (or shortcut program except AliasExtension)

1) Put NetFront 3.1 in the RAM.
2) Use ZLauncher to move NetFront and it's databases to the card you want it to run from later on.
3) Once stored, delete the shortcut made without deleting Card Contents.
4) Move the NetFront3 folder from 'Palm/Programs/ZLauncher/Apps' to 'Palm/Programs/PowerRun'
5) Once stored, run PowerRun and Update Shortcuts in the File Menu.
6) Once that is done, you should see a NetFront shortcut in your Palm Database.
7) Enjoy!!

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried doing it with MSMount5?

If you move all the NetFront files that would normally be in ROM to the MSMount directory, it should in theory run as 'tho it'd been JackFlashed into a FlashROM - i.e. no extra load time due to having to copy the program files from VFS to main RAM, and all the normal settings and stuff would go into main RAM as normal.

It'd appear in the normal app launcher too if all went well...!

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REALLY???????
I'm gonna try that and get back to you guys :D

EDIT: How do you even use it? I keep getting memory manager errors!

Got it to work for some apps. It can't work with apps that need registering. I tried it with AcidImage Pro and it worked but I needed to register every time I started it up again. :(

I went back to using ZLauncher shortcuts and PowerRun. AliasExt is too slow for me.

Man if only we can use JackFlash or the other one... JackSprat? to load 3.1 into Ram, I'm sure theres enough room if we delete some other stuff like Picel Viewer and Netfront 3.0.

I don't use MSMount5 and never have. I have NF 3.1 in Internal Memory and I run it from the Internal Memory tab in ZLauncher. It is the only app that I invoke from that tab.

Works like a charm.

smeggie:
why run NF 3.1 from Internal Memory tab? why don't you make a shotcut by long-tapping the icon and put that shortcut in whatever tab you like?

what I've done is that I moved the original NF 3.0 icon to a hidden tab and the new NF 3.1 shortcut in my Internet tab. it works perfectly!

ZLauncher is amazing and the same procedure can also be used for the TH55 PicselViewer and for the VZ90 MediaLauncher+mp4 codecs :)

This was the one way I was able to run it without any issues of any kind. Every other method erased preferences or addresses or something would go awry.

Here (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50968&highlight=NetFront+3.1) is the thread with the normal installation instructions, simply insert the above tangent-additions.

Is anybody having a problem where after trying to run Netfront 3.1 for the second time after doing this (the first time worked) you get an error and then it will no longer work saying "program error?" 3.1 works fine for me in RAM but if there was a way to use it in internal media without all the errors it would be great. I followed JAmerican's steps in the first post exactly.

Say, do any of you guys use SnapperMail along with NF31(on internal card)? If I click a link in Snapper, it can't seem to find NF unless it's in RAM. It just flashes back to the email containing the link.

I have the NF31 ID code set as (duh!) "NF31", and I already went into debug mode in Snapper and put that into the browser ID line.

Any ideas would be appreciated!
