i'm trying splash money. it's ok, but not want i want. it debits from a chosen acct, ie mastercard, visa, checking etc, and keeps the account current.
what i'm looking for is a way to track my expenses as a running TOTAL, not debit, that has all the flexibilty of editing assigned catagories to my purchases, and to keep a daily/weekly/monthly total of expenditures.
any such program? thanks

Expense plus keeps a running total. It was designed for travel (and does a great job at it), but may suit your needs.

Try using HandyShopper. A number of people are using an expense database from the Yahoo group.

Do a search on sourceforge.net . I think I saw something like that just yesterday.
