Hello, my friend got her TJ-37 (mine's coming too!). Though she hasn't got a wireless router, so can she get a wireless network card and surf the net/e-mails just using her pc? Also she only has dialup which makes things complicated but is this possible - wireless dialup over a single pc?

It would be possible, but in my opinion not worth the trouble. It would be easier and faster to connect to a cell via IR if that option is available. The only problem is aligning the cell and TJ correctly. Luckily my phone stands up like The Leaning Tower of Piza. The IR being on the side of it also helps out a whole lot.

You can use Windows's Internet connection sharing (ICS) to share the dial-up over the wireless connection. Just a wireless card will do the trick. If she got a router, she would need an ethernet card to connect to it and then use ICS over the ethernet. So, your idea is the simple one. Just plug in a wireless card, dial-up to the internet, and share the connection with ICS to connect to the palm. You probably have to use ad-hoc mode and there could be some complicated configurations, but all you have to do is ask here and someone can help you get it up and running.

And if you don't want to have the PC on every time the handheld wants to access the 'net, you could use a wireless AP that has a dialer in it and then run both off the wireless. Research it with your ISP first as soem ISPs require you to go to their home network option to run more than one unit.
