I am having trouble with the beam receive. I want to keep it off to extend battery life, however it keeps turning back on. Can anyone tell me what application is turning the beam receive back on. I am using Yishow launcher and Agendus if that helps. Everything else is basic stuff.

This is a Palm OS issue. There are a number of hacks that will resolve this(do a search on almGear). It has nothing to do with your unit or any software you may have installed. All PalmOS4x PDAs have this issue.

Thanks for the tip. Glad to know its an OS issue and not a conflict with third party software..

Well I hate to say it but BeamOff doesn't work. All it did for me was keep it from turning on after a hot sync. For some reason my beam receive will just turn itself on. It will do this two or three times a day. Weird??????

Wow, didn't think this thread still existed. Sorry to say, I still have the beam off problem and none of the hacks I tried fixed the problem. Good Luck...I am planning on upgrading to an OS 5 device soon.

I haven't heard any complaints on this issue with the OS 5 Clies.
