PDABuyersGuide published my review of Laridian's release of Zondervan's NIV Study Bible here (http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/software/Zondervans_NIV_Study_Bible.htm). Laridian recently renegotiated their license for MyBible to expand their Palm product line, and this is the first fruit of the new agreement. This is probably one of the most popular study Bibles in print, and a welcome addition to the Palm OS and PPC platforms.

I love MyBible, it has a few drawbacks, but not enough. I have the NLT, NIV, NKJV, KJV, NASB, and ASV on mine, as well as the Amplified Bible, and NIVSB available to me as my dad is a pastor and has these translations on our PC, so if I ever want it, I can get it. I also am looking at getting a version of the Message (MG) for MyBible (if anyone wants to send it to me to try before I buy, I would be happy). My dad loves the NIVSB and uses it daily. I myself teach to other students in my high schools FCA and would be more effective using MG to reach them. My dad is also a pastor by the way.

My only complaint with this version was that it did not include the "excellent discussion about each book of the Bible" that the print bible has.

What can I say...

"To get to these book notes ....Those who don’t read instructions (like most Americans don’t) may miss this valuable feature."

Thanks TankerBob for your always outstanding reviews and service to the PDA community and beyond.

Good review TB! I use this product every Sunday morning (as well as other times) as my pastor preaches from the NIV and I'm enjoying the combination of study notes, highlighter, and adding personal sermon notes! Neat package to a great product . . . God's Holy Word, that is! :D
