Anyone here using a PC at work and a Mac at home? I'm wondoring if one can sync to both platforms with one Clie.
Also, do I really need to purchase Missing Sync software if I can just use the PC to mount MS. (Oh yeah, I forgot about iPhoto/iTunes sync). Plus there's no AvantGo for OSX so I'm thinking PC for this one.

Thanks

I'm using a Mac at home and a Win2K PC at work, but my home use is exclusively set up so I can install only. No conduits are enabled. I suppose that doesn't help you much, does it?

In answer to Missing Sync... If you're not actually syncing to the Mac you might check one of the following (and thereby not need Missing Sync:
1) If you attach your Clie to the USB port of your Mac and activate the MS Import program (on the Clie), does it show up as a removable drive? My understanding is that some do, some don't.
2) If that doesn't work, would it be better for you to buy a MS reader to attach by USB and just stick the MS in that when you need to use it? (PS - if you have any Lexar transparent MSticks you'll want Lexar's brand. They are notorious for not working with other readers).

Hope that helps some,
Aym

OK, I probably have a bit complex sit up here but bear with me:

- Mac OS X (using Bluetooth) with Missing Synch for iSync, OS X Address Book, iCal, Notepad, memopad and Vindigo
- XP Home (using Bluetooth) for Avantgo (no OS X version) and Documents To Go

USB synch on each machine works as well, but this way there's less clutter with Bluetooth (using the BT memory stick).

Missing Synch is great, especially for the iTunes/iPhoto integration, although a memory stick reader will work fine if you want to fuss with where the files go, but not sure other apps will synch properly. I thought it was worth the money :-).

While it sounds complex, it (now) works flawlessly, I have found it's better to synch data (address book, calendar, etc.) on one computer only otherwise there's greater chance for duplication, corruption, etc........

Hope that helps.
