COMMENTS ?I threadcrapped about this (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7439&page=1&pp=40) 1-1/2 years ago, and it's still a total joke. Here's what I wrote:
In other words, folks, when they say "product mock-up" they mean "theatrical prop" and there was no successful engineering of the concept. Of COURSE this rumor was crap and of COURSE no one would dare invest in such a business venture when, not least, VHF is shutting down in a matter of years because of the DTV transition.
If my Dragonball 33MHz Clie can't even stream 15 fps at 320x320 with true color off of connected media, then why on earth did we think that a wireless connection would give us any more than Webcam-quality teevee?
Shame on the jerk-offs who bothered to "mock" us "up" with this playtime Trekkie nonsense.

Don't forget all those great movie props that the SD Consortium trotted out to us.
EDIT
I remember the Panasonic site had a trade show display of all the wonerous things that SD would bring.
