I just downloaded JF v3.0b2 and retested Wordsmith and AcidImage. Both have the identical error they had in v3.0b1. I'm not sure what has changed in this version; the Changes file just says 'Minor fix'.
I'll continue to use this version and see if anything new pops up, but I'm not going to repeat all of my earlier tests.

Could it be that application that uses armlets cant be put in ROM? Just a thought..

Hmm, that's a good theory, but I doubt it. The programs run fine, it's just that when you exit, you get the error. So, it must be something they're doing when exiting that is unique. Maybe it's something armlet related when they're exiting, though. But I didn't think Wordsmith used armlets.

Memory Mgr.c, Line: 1583, Not a Handle
I have email Bryader's support and am awaiting a response.

OK, I started getting an error in AcidImage, resetting when exiting. But it does not happen every single time; I tried to repeat the process so I can find a pattern, but could not find it. I closed it at the opening screen where you choose the folders to open, at the thumbview screen and looking at the picture and sometimes I get an error and sometimes I do not.

since the flash can't be written to (w/o jackflash) there is no need to leave any free space (at least none that i can see) i now have only 2k of free space on mine and have not experienced any crashes - except for our current favorite:p

Is anybody actually in contact with Brayder? I'm curious if they're going to be able to pin down the 'memory handle' issue . . . .

Yes, I have been as to my:
MemoryMrg.c, Line 1583, Not a Handle
error when I exit AvantGo.
I received a email back a little while ago saying that they would be looking into it.
It would appear that no one there uses, or tested AvantGo, but they will install and move it into the Flash to see what's up with it.
I will advise upon getting an answer back.

Wrong question to ask. This will upset a few people and it's not encouraged at all. A lot ot developers frequent ClieSource and they will take strong offense at your suggestion.

What i mean is to help to find which programs can't be use with jackflash. I thought this is only beta version and it can't be use without code right?
If this will upset the developers that frequent to ClieSource, they should make it perfect rather than launching beta version. I don't understand how can they be upset if i trying to help each other.
For your info, this softwares could void your machine warranty. ( Actually i taking the risk to try it on my NX70!

Right. It can't be used without a code. If you aren't a registered user you don't have a code so you can't test it.
The developers use beta testers to make sure the product is as perfect as possible before you buy it. All the registered users were offered the beta, only those who wanted to test it are doing so. No one is forced to test beta software.
I'm sure everyone appreciates your offer to sacrifice your Clie. However, that isn't necessary since the beta testers will have the bugs identified and the developer will fix them so that you can have a perfect product when the final version is released.
Do you understand how this all works now?

I'm sorry, I overlooked one of your concerns.
Check out this thread http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7379&perpage=15&pagenumber=1 to see what a great job the registered users are doing to find out what works and what doesn't!
Hey, wait a minute...in this thread http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=117029#post117029 you say you moved netfront to flash...how did you do that if you don't have a copy of jackflash?

He may have been trying to get beta 2, possibly. I think each one requires a new request from the developer.

Yes n2ifp is right. I got the Beta 1 for me to move netfront to flash memory. I would like to try beta 2 to see whether acidimage still fail to flash in.

This is not your first post begging for JackFlash. If you are so interested in testing why don't you buy it like we all did? I think you are posting in the wrong place. I bought mine and I'm happy with it. I think 4.7MB of fast Memory for 20bucks is not bad. Plus you can use it with future PDAs if you get a new one. I actually got it for 18 at handango using the promotional code 'clie'
I don't know why you keep saying that you want to do the tests for us. It is not like we are children who are afraid of testing. We are comparing our findings not asking for someone to do our testings.
Let's keep ClieSource clean. Like your home.
