I posted this in the TG forum as well.
I dunno what to do. I was all set on the NX60 until this TG50 came out. I currently have an NR70 (non-camera) and I love the big screen but now that I think about it I don't really benefit from the extended area on a daily basis. The keyboard is my primary method of input.
To top it all off, I have a $450 credit with Best Buy when I turn in my NR70 (it has a few dead pixels so it's not like I'm breaking it to trade in). I can pay $50 and get the NX60 (gain a flip screen, wireless slot i'm not to fond of) or loose $50 (even swap since i don't get the cash back) and get the TG50 (loose flip screen, gain bluetooth, loose hi-res+ screen).
AARGH!!! What to do?!
I'm not interested in the NX70 simply because I already have a camera with me all the time on my cell, so I don't need the Palm to have one as well since I'm more likely to leave my Palm behind than my cell.
Too bad that Samsung Palm OS phone isn't out yet. You could sell your phone, take the credit and probably come out ahead with an all in one device.

Honestly, if you weren't interested in the camera, I would definitely go for the TG50. You would lose the high-res+ screen, but you're gaining a much smaller device that is just as fast and still has the voice recorder. The camera is the only thing that makes me not want to switch.

That's my line of thinking also, but this is why I'm considering the NX60 and not the 70. I'm really just wondering if I can get used to a smaller screen again.

I did. I switched from a NX70V to a SJ30 because I had to sell the NX70V at the time. It was hard, but right now there isn't a whole lot of things out that take advantage of the Hi-Res+ screens yet. There is no denying they are awesome, but if you just want basic PDA features and function the smaller 320*320 screen then I would choose the TG50. I've had PPC people make fun of my "square" displays and say they are "Low-resolution" but then I show them how much space their puny 320*240 screens take up on my "small" screen. They usually shut up after that. It's all a matter of personal choice.

By the way if you trade your NR for TG, you will NOT get the difference of $50 back. I've trade my iPAQ with NX70, I lost $100. You can get a unit that's more expencive by paying more for it, but you won't get credit for cheaper unit. Be careful...
Just my $.02

Just my $.02 o really, not even a store credit? And what if you wanted to get something else later on, would I still have the $449 to go towards it or would it become $399?

would I at least have the option of getting $50 in accessories?

I think there are a TON of apps that take advantage of the screen. All the PIM apps, launchers, ebook readers, spreadsheets, web clipping, pic viewer, mail, clock, shopping apps, ID apps, note apps, plus several games. Over 80% of the time, my device is in high-res+ mode. So, IMO, if you didn't care about the camera, this is the biggest sacrifice.
That said, I just went and played with a TG tonight at CC. I really, really liked it. I really can't figure out what I like about it so much. I think it must be the form factor. It just feels so small and compact. However, I held it up next to my NX, and it goes halfway up the hinge, so nearly the same length, and it's just as think except for the CF hump. But it FEELS a lot smaller, probably because when the cover is up, it is smaller. The cover is incredible. It looks very good, and at least on a new one, sits flush with the rest of the device. I think it would provide nearly as good screen protection as the NX does. The keyboard is worse than the NX, but not as much worse as some of the posts on here make it sound. I remember when I first got my NR; the first few days I thought I would never get used to the keyboard. But I did get used to it and my entry speed went up quickly. I wonder if the same would happen with this one. I don't feel like the keys were any harder to push down; they seemed closer together than the keys on the NX, though if you held them up next to each other, there was basically no difference in keyboard width. The screen was very nice, but I think the NX screen is equivalent plus obviously larger. It's a very nice unit, and if I still had my 610 and had never upgraded, it would probably be the one I'd go for. I still may get one and try it out for a few weeks and either return it or sell my NX.

Unless you need the wifi card and a camera, I'd go TG. I saw it today and played with it for 1/2 hour and loved it. I really love my camera, so I can't pull the trigger on it, but if you are considering the NX60, it is obviously not an issue for you.

Well just to update every1, I got a TG50. Oddly enough, the NX60 was $449 and the NX70 was $499. I almost got the NX70 just because, but then decided to just swap for the NX60, but they were out of stock. So I went back to my original decision of the TG50. I also got to keep the $50....what they do with warranty exchanges is they mark up the price of the TG to $449 instead of $399, that way i still have the same amount of credit towards any device.
Another funny thing....1st they tried to tell me that they had to send it to get repaired instead of just having me replace it. Thankfully the tech was mistaken. Then he said something about most Clies can just be swapped instead of replaced, though I could tell he was BSing since he kept saying "most" but wouldn't specify which ones. Gotta luv Best Buy.....
Anyway, it's charging now. I really want to play with it. It's been charging for almost 2 hours!!! And it would've been nice for it to come with some headphones. I also wish it had the option for the remote control wand like previous MP3 Clies...o well.
