Hello guys,
I just ordered a T5 as a replacement of my Zire71. As my wife is going to use the Zire, I just wanted to know, if itīs possible to sync both devices without hassle on the same PC.
By the way: it was the various discussions on this board, which helped me on my decision to buy the T5. Thanx a lot to you all for these informations.

As long as you have separate device name for each, it shouldn't be a problem. I synced up to a dozen Palms on one company PC without problems...no T5 in that mix though.
Hi,
I upgraded my 71 onto a T5 and kept the same hotsync name to use my softwares.
Working fine; it was even useful during installation issues.
Of course if we want to have other dates, apps,... than your wife, you will need to choose another hotsync name, which is proposed by Palm at the 1st T5 hotsync. ;-)

Hi,
thanx for the help. I wasnīt quite sure...
@Heather:
Thanks for the link. One question is left: the hotsync manager 4.1.0 is already installed (from the Zire). On the downloadpage for the T5 update http://www.palmone.com/us/support/downloads/tungstent5/tungstent5update.html the system requirements state Hotsync manager 6.0.1 or greater. Is this the latest version and is it possible for the Zire to sync with this version, or should I install both versions?
Thanks for the fast answers. I got the T5 one hour ago. Itīs charging right now. ;-))
It really looks and feels nice. much better than the Zire.
