PocketCraft will soon roll out it's next major upgrade to Facer 2, Facer 2.1.

To make sure that this upgrade is perfect, we need BETA TESTERS of various devices to test out the new Facer 2.1 Beta.

Can we get a list of the updates to more easily test them?

Well, I have truck loads of fatal exceptions on my T5.
Tapping any button on the bottom screen causes a crash with the exception of the favorites.
Attempting to launch any app when tapping the screen icon causes a fatal exception.
I am running Fonts4OS5 and HiLauncher which both play very nicely with ZLauncher
The UI is really stunning though. Of only ZL was this crisp and clean graphically.

you at least got it to load my T5 crashed rite after install
i do agree the ui is very clean and crisp iam running zlauncher which is very powerfull
but at the sametime a little complex and busy , but for the features its nice. if facer can get similar features and stay clean and crisp i will switch

It's funny, I saw the post a couple days ago about the light version so out of curiosity, I downloaded both. Don't really care for the lite version but the full version is great. Then I saw the price. That is what has kept me from keeping the trial.

My question is: if we are willing to give feedback on the Facer 2.1 Beta, do we get a key to unlock the two week trial?

I don't want to spend time setting up moving all my apps to the card, only to have to hard reset and start over in two weeks because the trial has expired.

Sorry, as petty as it sounds, I just can't swing $19 on this launcher right now. Circumstances have drastically changes.

I would however exchange feedback for a registration key.

FWIW, I have used ZLauncher for over a year after the trial expired and just put up with the delay and nag screen. I am not able to do that any longer and have gone back to the Clie launcher.
I am far more impressed with Facer over ZLauncher and would spread this info to everyone I know...

There are still some major issues on the T5 with this beta. Launching an app still causes fatal exceptions. The developer told me he does not yet have a T5 to test with so I can understand the difficulty.

I'd like to hear from others that are trying out this beta on other palm devices. I can really only comment on it's good looks as its functionality is lost on the T5 right now :( .

I've received 2 updates to the beta since this thread started and still can't launch an app. Are you able to do this on your T5?

thanks for testing the beta for us.

there certainly will be an upgrade for Facer 2.1 Beta to fix problems with Tungsten T5. We have just got a new device yesterday and will be optimizing for it.

We have not experienced any crashes with Facer 2.1 Beta with T5 (only with the basic applications in the T5). Perhaps there is a conflict between apps with Facer. We will investigate this, of course.

i actually loaded up thru file tranfer app
heres the issues i have
on the today screen cant get font bucket to work
the info leaks into the bottom tool bar
no 5 way support to select apps
sd card info or internal non exisitent no ballons show up
wish list are
full support for the 5way button
font support on the icons
able to switch the the time to date format on the top tool bar( for those who have a status bar already with the time
