Well, I FINALLY figured out why my SJ22 has been freezing when hotsync terminates. I would delete my UnsavedPreferences file and the freezing would cease. But when I reset the device, the freezing would return. Many hours of install/re-install, etc. finally unmasked the culprit - the pTools background process. Once I disabled that, the freezing disappeared. I have found pTools very cryptic and non-intuitive. The one thing I was using it for was the pDateTool, which allowed me to enter in a new appointment as a DA.
If anyone has a good suggestion for such a tool, I'd love to hear it. Anyhow, just wanted to pass this along in case anyone else was experiencing freeze upon hotsync termination.
