Okay, so we know Softpocket is doing something with a CF memory driver and said driver is supposed to be ready for test in early April.

Some time back a few people mentioned that others were also working on a driver. Much less news on those people and certainly far less credibility.

So.......can we end the hope there will be competition/choice for a driver? Does anyone have any news on what else may be going on?

Not with a company claiming to be releasing / selling one soon.

Whether you believe them or not, such an announcement has a "chilling effect" on competition.

I'm waiting until the end of April before I draw any conclusions.

It would have a chilling effect for someone who is starting, but there was one or two people that had said earlier that there were other efforts ALREADY underway.

Personally, I suspect that was a load of horsepucky, but you never know...hence this thread. Just wanted to see if there were others with a big hairy pair that wanted to provide an update.

Until the a driver is written I just use the slot to put my weed in, that's why it's called Magicgate!
