I do not have the older versions of Jackflash but I do have a Clie NX70 and I want to purchase Jackflash 3.0 now (immediately)

The Brayder site does not have any info for users like me.
Do you have any suggestions ?

I mean there must be many people in my position who wants the software as quick as possible. What shall we do ?
I do not want to purchase JackFlash 2.0 (which is useless to me) and then get an upgrade.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat.

My guess is wait. I think it's probably a good idea to wait for the compatible verison of JackSprat anyway.

Anybody else in the same position and has an idea ?

I wrote my status to support of Brayder but did not receive any response yet.

Buy the 2.6 version then upgrade.  Works fine.  You get 'free upgrades' for 6 months from purchase....

If I first buy the 2.6 version (20$) and then upgrade (10$) , I will have to pay a total of 30$.
But I want to pay only the new software price since I did not have any use of Jackflash 2.6.
I don't need that old version because I do not have an OS4 or OS3 device currently used.

This doesn't make sense. The guy releases a great product on a Friday and decides to take a vacation for the whole weekend. Now, here is monday and.... Wait a second I just got my reg cod and link. Wow, I got it. Guys if you bought it before today go ask for your link under the support page. There is an automated system that says upgrade to the lastest version.

yes , everybody has his/her own life to live and it was weekend. But is it so hard to put the beta version on sale ?
No it is not (I know because once I had a software selling on www.handango.com)

Getting the 3.0 beta is not hard, too.

After purchasing, wait at least 24hours before requesting the 3.0 beta. Go to Brayder support. http://www.brayder.com/support/

Select this link:  http://www.brayder.com/support/upgraderequest.html

You will receive an email with a download link.

Go back to Brayder support and select this link:

http://www.brayder.com/support/jfregrequest.html

Input your name, email address you registered under and your HotSync name.

You will then receive an email with your reg. code.

Have fun folks!

Fridays announcement CLEAR stated that the demo would be released on
MONDAY...
Its not in small print !!!

Lets look at this: What if they just released this and there were issues that they
needed to address ASAP???
Guess there weekend or lives would not be available hmmmmmmm...
I hope they had a great weekend and time with there families as I did.

Please explain something to me. I purchased the original JackFlash when using my Palm iiic. It worked great. When I upgraded to Sony Clie T665, it doesn't work because Flash is taken up my all Sony stuff, no room for JackFlash to do it's magic. I was told by the creators to use JackSprat to delete Sony programs in Flash.

What does the new JF 3.x do that the previous version did not?

If you are using a Clie, did you free up Flash and how?

Thanks, Jack

the main difference between Jackflash 3.x and previous versions is that 3.x works with OS5 palm pdas.

You don't really need to free up flash. An oversimplification of jackflash is that it opens a gateway so files can be moved to and from flash. Sony set aside about 4mb of flash memory that is not used by anything and jackflash opens this up for us to use.

And , it will give us a lot of time loss.
We will pay for 2.6 and wait for one day , then apply for 3.0 beta and then apply for regcode for beta.

Why all this ?
I sometimes don't understand these developers.
The world is not that hard. It should not be.

Well, the way I see it, you're paying for a RELEASE version.  The one that works for the NX is still a beta . . . they make sure you KNOW it's a beta and NOT a general release that way.

But I agree . . . there should be an easier way.  Just a download link would be nice.  It's not like you can use it without submitting your Hotsync name to Brayder anyhow.  Your reg code is based on that....

ilkera~why do you 'need' the software as quick as possible?  I mean what will waiting a day hurt?  You weren't doing that badly without it...none of us were.  We're just really excited to get it.

After all, they say patience is a virtue...

Thanks Jeff, I just requested it. I'll test out WS and AI when I get it and see if it fixes that problem.

is there a link to DL the file even if you don't have a registration code?

Well, after reading all of the hullaballoo about this program, I purcahsed 2.6 from their website this morning. I then within a few hours (2-3) received a d/l link via email for v. 3. I then filled out the registration request and received it immediately. So, a mere 4 hours after beginning the process I have it running on my NX....

My impressions: I have never used a program like this and must say....IMPRESSIVE!

Cheers, Rich

I just purchased the v2.6 and am patiently awaiting the new v3.0b2 version!

I just bought JackFlash 2.6 via Handango and was immediately sent a link to download the 3.0 beta directly from Brayder. So they must have updated their system to no longer require a wait to get the newest beta version. Awesome!

I also purchased via Handango, but no link yet.  I'm still waiting for the beta.
