How exactly do I input an ip address into the ux50?

I assume that you are asking "how do I set the IP address of my UX50"? In other words, you need static IP -- you are not connecting to a network that supports dynamic IP (DHCP).

If that's your question, you'll need to go to Preferences, Network, select "Wireless LAN," tap "Details..." From there, you'll need to select (or create a profile). Setting an IP address is under "Advanced Setup." Uncheck "Auto."

Are you trying to do a WiFi Adhoc or WiFi Infrastructure?
